Want a custom built GREEN PC? Too busy to do it yourself?

Depending on my schedule, I would love to personally build your computer!

After all these years of building, I still love it! Of course, I would prefer to see you build your own. You will receive the greatest benefit by building for yourself.

But I understand some may choose not to. Maybe lack of an appropriate location, lack of time. Maybe concerned about not having quite enough dexterity to work with the small parts and connections. Maybe eyesight is an issue. Whatever the case.

So, rather than have you go out and buy an inefficient, mass-produced proprietary non-GREEN PC, I'm offering to build a GREEN PC for you.

Here's what happens....

First we discuss your requiements. Your planned applications. Number of users, budget, etc. We do this by phone and email. I actually have a 23 item questionaire, to help determine the best and most appropriate GREEN configuration for you.

Once the exact components for the custom build are determined, I have all parts sent to my location. I then build your PC with love and care (I'm not kidding, either!).

Now let's continue. After your machine is turned on for the first time, I format the hard drive and load Windows. Then all drivers and up-dates.

After the Burn-In tests are completed, I then run other tests.

For your convenience, I install the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

FREE Norton Internet Security 2009. Installed with latest up-dates!

I won't ship a machine without this installed. You will receive the OEM version with a 1 year license registration.

Key portions of the build are photographed. Your PC. Your CPU. Your motherboard. Get the picture? Later I put this collection of photos in a custom one-of-a-kind manual. It becomes your future reference. Contains a complete description of how your computer was built for you. This is the next best thing to building your own PC! Your manual will look something like this...

Does this mean I write a whole new manual for everyone I build a PC for? No. I already have the manual of assembly and procedures written.

I simply edit the material and photos for you. Simple really. A little extra time to do. But an important reference for you!

Now, you might be wondering...

"Sounds like a lot of work, how much is this going to cost me?"

You're right. I put a lot of extra work into each custom build. I charge $500 per build. And of course components and shipping costs are extra.

Depending on the desired configuration, the components could run $700-$2,000 or more.

And due to the nature of custom work, all fees and expenses would have to be paid in advance, through...

Your new PC then gets a 48 Hour Burn-In.

What a Burn-In test does is thoroughly exercise the hardware in a PC in a short period of time, in the same way as normal applications use a PC over a long period of time. This takes advantage of the fact that computer hardware tends to fail either very early in its life or after many thousands of hours of use.

The Burn-In test will bring intermittent or hidden problems to the surface so that after a successfully run test, the computer can be used with a much higher level of confidence.

The Burn-In tests the CPU via mathematical operations and SIMD calculations, hard drives, RAM, CD-ROMs, CD burners, DVDs, sound cards, 2D graphics, 3D graphics, network connection, etc.
